Javier Marín at the Palacio Clavijero

Morelia, México - September 2004

The Palacio Clavijero is located in downtown Morelia, to the west of the Cathedral. The Palacio is a huge complex, built on the XVII Century by the Jesuits. Nowadays it houses several public offices (which will be soon relocated), the Universidad Michoacana's main library (it occupies a former church; it's incredibly beautiful), the Secretary of Tourism, some state university's offices and a market of local candies.

Its architectural style is baroque, and all the Palacio is made with pink stone. I took a small AVI movie of the Palacio's Courtyard seen from the second floor, view it here (14 Mb).

These are a few pictures from the Palacio Clavijero (dotted now with some of Javier Marin's sculptures).
